H2O Color Firecracker 5K Fun Run/Walk


Hancock County Family Resource and Youth Service Centers will be sponsoring the event at Vastwood Park, July 6, 2013, 8 AM!
Each participant will wear white shirts and be misted with red and blue colored water during the event.
The misting will feel perfect in the heat of July! This should be a great time!!!!
Early Registration cost is $20.
Price includes white shirt and bottled water and snack at the end of race.

Children under 12 will only be the price of $10

Hancock County Development Complex(Career Center) is pleased to offer a
Preventive Health Event on August 27th

Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, will host their affordable, non-invasive and painless health screenings on 8/27/2013. 

Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to: blocked arteries which is a leading cause of stroke; abdominal aortic aneurysms which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs which is a strong predictor of heart disease; atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to stroke risk; and a bone density screening, for men and women, used to assess the risk of osteoporosis.

Register for a Wellness Package which includes 4 vascular tests and osteoporosis screening from $159 ($149 with our member discount). 
All five screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete and will be offered between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
