Public Meeting

On March 9, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. Green River Area Development District staff will conduct a public meeting to gather information and collect data for the GRADD Hazard Mitigation Plan update.  The plan update process is critical to the development of a plan that will best serve Hancock County needs and will guarantee the county’s continued eligibility for FEMA hazard mitigation funding.  The meeting will take place at the Hancock County Emergency Operations Center (EOC), located at 655 Hawes Boulevard in Hawesville.

American Veterans Traveling Tribute travels the USA in order to provide a forum for communities to come together to HONOR-RESPECT-REMEMBER all who have sacrificed their lives for our country's freedom. By doing this we also honor all Veterans and those serving today. Because they know they will never be forgotten. We must always separate the War from the Warrior and be never failing in our support for our Men and Women of the Armed Forces.

The Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall is an 80% size replica visual presentation; standing over 8’ tall @ apex, and over 370 feet long.
